"Hold Today, For Tomorrow Will Be Yesterday”

Like hands of a clock that are ticking so fast
We hold onto today, for it will be our past,
For moments that are precious, we mustn’t let them slip
Their captured pictures in our mind, that enlightens us a bit.

Tomorrow is the hope of yet a better day
A day in the year that will follow yesterday,
Time holds in its hand a ball of mystery
For tomorrow’s the day we wait for anxiously.

It’s a day that is special, in many shapes and forms
It may show us the joys, yet some of us will mourn,
Whatever the day holds for us is significant in its own
It will teach us a lesson, or it will leave us alone.

For hold onto today, for many of us know
It’s the day we have waited for a long time ago,
The day will become our past, our past of yesterday
But its presence will show us a tomorrow, a brand new day!

"Open Your Eyes”

Open your eyes, there is so much to see
A family about you, and nature of things,
People who care, that care who you are
Animals for pets who would beg for a lap.

The sun is just waiting to give you the warmth,
The moon and the stars are for romance to start,
The oceans and lakes are there to bathe in
The land is your land just to walk on.

Look at your children, the children you bore
Those smiling faces worth more than an award,
The sense they give us to say we are proud,
For their traits and genetics all stemmed from abroad.

Our children will grow up, as proud as can be
They will be thankful for you and for me,
Their kindness and loving and virtue of patience,
Will be an example of what we have taught them.

So cheer up that smile with a sunny disposition
Show us those eyes, like the stars in the night,
I know you have it, it’s been there alright
Just open your eyes and make what is right.

"Comfort Your Sorrow”

There comes a time we lose our loved ones
We question ourselves but why?
For never are we prepared to handle
The loss of one we cry.

Your feelings are of deepen sorrow
As sad your tears do flow,
You sit and grieve and wonder why
Oh God, it can’t be so.

As sure the sun and moon do shine
A light appears above,
For it is in our hearts and minds
We always get comfort from.

Their memories show us pictures
Their love will keep us strong,
Feel blessed for the time you shared
The joy you gave each one.
